MAST Stabio 3D AR
An augmented reality mobile application for an architectural firm, helping Swiss citizens visualize urban redevelopment plans in 3D.
Design Decisions
Defined the AR interaction model โ how citizens would scan physical markers to see the 3D redevelopment overlays. Prioritised clarity and accessibility for a non-gaming audience, focusing on intuitive wayfinding and a frictionless first-use experience.
Production Scope
Managed the end-to-end delivery alongside one 3D artist, including technical research, milestone planning, and the full App Store / Google Play publishing process.
Technical Contribution
Sole developer for the entire Unity application. Researched and evaluated AR frameworks, implemented 3D model rendering in augmented reality, and handled the full deployment pipeline for both iOS and Android stores.
During 2019โ2020, I served as the lead developer on a mobile augmented reality application for an architectural firm. The app lets citizens of Stabio, Switzerland, visualise the planned redevelopment of a town area in full 3D through their smartphone cameras.
Technical Leadership in a Small Team
Working as a two-person team with a 3D artist, I owned every technical decision โ from AR framework selection to store publishing. This project sharpened my ability to translate non-technical stakeholder needs into working software while managing realistic delivery expectations.
Shipping to Real Users
Beyond development, I guided the client through the app store submission process for both Apple and Google platforms, handling compliance, testing, and release management.
